That’s why we’re delighted to showcase the work of Shropshire artist Jan Park, whose striking, large-scale original artworks now adorn the walls of our beautiful upstairs Gallery Restaurant and throughout our downstairs dining areas.
Together with the award-winning cuisine of Chef Suree Coates, Jan’s paintings bring another dimension of colour, creativity and individuality to dining at The White Hart.
Meet Jan Park – Inspired by Nature, Colour and the Landscape
Based in nearby Jackfield, in the heart of the Ironbridge Gorge, Jan Park is a professional artist known for her atmospheric, evocative paintings.
Her work draws inspiration from the natural world, landscapes, gardens, colour and texture. From rich, expressive compositions to subtle details inspired by weathered surfaces and the changing seasons, Jan creates artworks full of character and emotion.
Working from her studio and gallery in Jackfield, Jan’s distinctive style celebrates the beauty and individuality of the world around us.

Suree, winner of Midlands Chef of the Year 2026, is celebrated for her imaginative approach to modern Thai cuisine, bringing together vibrant colours, fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation and exceptional flavours.
Just as Jan combines colour, texture and form in her paintings, Suree brings those same creative qualities to her dishes.
